You agree to the privacy policy below, and the Privacy Policy for Substack, the technology provider.
Lide Switzerland – Privacy Notice (lidesuica.ch)
1. Who is responsible
This Privacy Notice explains how we process personal data in connection with the LIDE Switzerland publication at lidesuica.ch (the “Publication”): its newsletters, articles, the Conexão Helvética podcast, subscriptions, comments, the referral rewards programme and event registrations made through it.
The controller is E-venio Events GmbH, Industriestrasse 9, 6301 Zug, Switzerland, UID CHE-411.646.183 (”we”, “us”). For any data protection question, write to contact@lidesuica.ch.
We process personal data in line with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies to you, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Substack’s own policy. The Publication runs on Substack. Where Substack Inc. processes your data for its own purposes (for example your Substack account, payments, security, recommendations, direct messages and its own cookies), it does so as an independent controller, and the Substack Privacy Policy applies to that processing, not this notice. This notice covers what we, E-venio Events GmbH, do with your data. On any point this notice does not address, Substack’s Privacy Policy applies to the data Substack holds.
2. What data we collect
We collect only the data we need to run the Publication and its events. Most of it comes from you directly or through Substack.
3. Why we use your data
We use your data for the purposes below and for no other purpose without telling you. We do not sell your data.
4. Who receives your data and transfers abroad
We share your data only with the recipients below, and only as far as each needs it.
5. How long we keep your data
We keep data only as long as needed for its purpose or as the law requires.
6. Your rights
You can exercise these rights at any time, free of charge, by writing to contact@lidesuica.ch. We may ask you to confirm your identity.
• Access: find out whether and which data we process about you.
• Correction: have inaccurate data corrected.
• Deletion and restriction: have your data deleted or its processing restricted, unless we must keep it by law.
• Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to emails about events at any time.
• Withdrawal of consent: withdraw any consent you gave, with effect for the future.
• Data portability: receive data you gave us in a common electronic format.
• Unsubscribe: use the link at the bottom of every email, or your Substack account settings.
We answer requests within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern, www.edoeb.admin.ch. If you live in the EU or EEA, you can also contact the data protection authority in your country.
7. Cookies, security, changes and contact
Cookies and tracking. The Publication runs on Substack, which uses cookies and similar technologies for sign-in, security and statistics, as described in Substack’s own privacy and cookie policies. Substack’s emails track opens and clicks. We have not enabled additional analytics or advertising tools in Substack, such as Google Analytics or a Meta pixel. If we do, we will list them here before they go live. You can manage cookies in your browser settings.
Public content and messages. Comments, likes and your public Substack profile are visible to other readers and may be indexed by search engines. Substack direct messages are not end-to-end encrypted, so please do not use them, or comments, to share confidential business information.
No automated decisions, no children. We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing. The Publication is aimed at business professionals and not at children under 16.
Security. We protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures, including access limited to people who need it. If a data breach is likely to put you at high risk, we will notify the FDPIC and, where required, you.
Changes. We may update this Privacy Notice. The current version is always published at lidesuica.ch, with its effective date. We will inform subscribers by email of material changes.
